Terms of Trading 

Orders accepted by Westlite Ltd are subject to the following terms and conditions:

Opening orders are accepted on a pro-forma basis.

Following submission of an application form a trading account will normally be opened in 7 days.

Goods remain the property of Westlite Ltd until all outstanding payments have been received in full.

Risk and liability for goods passes to the purchaser at the time of delivery.

Orders below £150 net for delivery to England, Scotland and Wales (mainland only) will be subject to a carriage charge of £12.00 net. Orders above £150 net will be carriage paid. 

For Ireland orders below £200.00 net will be charged at £20.00, orders below £1000 net will be charged at £60.00 and orders over £1000 net will be carriage paid. 

Carriage charges for all other destinations are subject to confirmation at the time of order acceptance.

We will normally effect delivery within 7-10 working days from date of receipt of order. If this is not achievable we will advise accordingly. Should you require more urgent delivery then please call us.

Defects or discrepancies are to be notified by e-mail to Westlite Ltd within 5 days of receipt of goods. If claiming under this term please provide photographic evidence to support the claim and we will do our best to resolve the matter promptly. We will ordinarily require the goods to be packed ready for our collection. 

Returns will not be honoured unless we have been notified and given our agreement in advance in accordance with the term above. 

Every effort will be made to provide goods in accordance with the published literature however we do not accept any liability should certain items become unavailable or vary from the description or photographs.

We will not be liable for direct or indirect losses or damages  of any kind whatsoever whether consequential or otherwise associated with the supply of goods. 

All dealings between the Buyer and the Seller shall be governed  strictly in accordance with English Law.


All Westlite products are covered by a 12 month manufacturers guarantee against defects from poor workmanship or defective materials that arise from normal use and fair service. The guarantee is conditional on the product being correctly and appropriately installed in a normal domestic environment. Any fault that is found and acknowledged by the company as covered by the guarantee will be repaired or replaced at the suppliers cost.

Lamp shades are dependent on fabric batches and there will be colour variation from time to time. A variation in batch colour will not be regarded as defective and there will be no rights of return. We recommend if you have a customer requiring more than one shade in a given colour that you order all items together in one order. 

LED fittings have an extended 3 year guarantee against failure covering the electronic parts which will be repaired or replaced at the suppliers cost.  This guarantee is subject to the fitting being in normal use and fair service in a normal domestic environment. Beyond the life of the Guarantee the supplier will provide engineering support for up to 5 years from date of introduction.

LED lamps have a guarantee of 3 years against failure provided they are in service in a normal domestic environment and are in normal and fair use.  

In the event of replacement under guarantee, if the exact item has been discontinued then we will provide the nearest equivalent item available. 

Westlite will not be responsible for any costs associated with installation or removal of the affected product. Cost for transportation of the product to our workshop for inspection or repair shall be borne by the customer.

Westlite will not be responsible for out of pocket expenses or consequential costs.
